Who We Are

 

Freedom Legacy International (FLI) is a non-profit organization created to help end human trafficking and to raise awareness about the issue. Our main focus is on the aspect of sexual trafficking. We believe that human trafficking is slavery and with a unified effort we will see the end of slavery in our lifetime.

 

Board Members

Abigail Norris, President

Abigail is currently a student at Texas State University, and will soon be graduating with her bachelor’s in Communication Studies and minor in Social Work. She is currently the director of the Life Choices relationship education program of Central Texas LifeCare. In 2010, Abigail was awakened to the injustice of human trafficking and subsequently began Freedom Legacy International.

Abigail has an intimate relationship with her Lord Jesus Christ, and loves spending time in His presence. She has a passion to see the demise of the sex industry and is ready to do whatever it takes to see that happen. Abigail enjoys spending time with her husband, Josh, family &  friends, painting, reading, and kayaking the San Marcos river.

 

Tim Darnell, Vice-President

Tim is the co- pastor of Hill Country Church and an instructor for classes at the Hill Country School of Leadership Bible College. He also serves as a church elder and member of the Hill Country Church School board. Tim is passionate about expressing the love of God to everyone he meets and longs to see every lost person saved.

He loves spending time with his wife, Elisabeth, and their two children. Tim also enjoys duck hunting, traveling, and playing soccer.

 

 

 

Susan Narvaiz, Secretary

Susan Narvaiz is the former mayor of San Marcos, Texas where she was re-elected to her third term as Mayor on Nov. 4, 2008. Before serving as Mayor, she was elected to Place 3 on the City Council in 2002. Mayor Narvaiz is the recipient of numerous honors. She was one of five national finalists for the 2008 National League of Cities “Women in Government Leadership Award.” She received the Austin Business Journal “Profiles in Power” Award in 2008 and was inducted into the San Marcos Women’s Hall of Fame in 2002. Narvaiz is currently running for US Congress, District 35.

She is married to Mike Narvaiz and they share in the lives of their children and nine grandchildren.
